Of course, don’t forget we also have a very active group on Ravelry and be sure to join us there as well!
Bon Voyage!
The 2009 Knitting Cruise is underway!
Our group left today to fly south and enjoy a cruise to Key West and Cozumel. (I sure hope they bring back some warmth and sunshine to middle Tennessee!)
The trip was organized by Annette Cagle of Brandywine Travel and Pat Harris, owner of the Neighborhood Knit Shop. This is our second annual cruise and plans are already underway for a third! So be sure to keep an eye on this site for more details. Also, be sure to check back for photos from the knit-cruise when everyone returns!
Busy, Busy End of the Year!
Though the year is winding to a close, here at the Neighborhood Knit Shop, we are busy as ever! We have had all sorts of excitement recently that we’d love to share with you…
Event: MaggiKnits
Maggie Jackson of MaggiKnits will be spending the weekend with us December 5th-8th. Download the event flier (PDF) for all the details.
There will be a MaggiKnits fashion show Friday night with workshops to follow on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Be sure to call the shop at (615) 264-5886 to reserve your spot — space is limited!
The shop has received a shipment of stunning MaggiKnits yarns. Golds, reds, greens, blues, purples, black and white … you name it! It all mixes and matches beautifully! We also have lots of MaggiKnits pattern books in stock to help you find the perfect pattern for these new yarns.
TNKS in the News!
The shop has been fortunate to receive some great press recently. Last week there were articles in the Hendersonville Star News and Gallatin News Examiner. Visit our press page to read scanned copies of these articles.
On Thursday, December 4th, Talk of the Town will be at the shop to preview our MaggiKnits event for the upcoming weekend. Be sure to tune in to Talk of the Town on Friday, December 5th to see us!
TNKS 3rd Annual Yarn Over
On Saturday, December 13th, we’ll be hosting our 3rd annual “YarnOver” event from 6 p.m. till midnight. There will be door prizes and different sales every hour.
There will also be a fingerless mitten swap. Knit a pair of mittens, wrap them, and bring them to the shop by 6 p.m. on December 13th — everyone who participates will go home with a different pair of mitts from the exchange!
Changes on the Web
If you’re reading this, you’ve likely noticed we have a new website. We’re so excited to have this new way of keeping in touch with you! We’ll be posting lots of updates about the latest classes and events, shipments of new yarns, and all the goings-on at the shop. Be sure to bookmark our homepage and check back often for all the latest shop news!
